It started with 21 haikus, that was re-written as short stories by the use of AI. The short stories&#38;nbsp; were then re-written a second time as erasure poems. Those erasure poems together turned into a book. This is that book.

Beskrivning av boken:I en dunge inte långt ifrån byn där människorna sliter och långsamt svälter, håller kråkorna möte om deras framtid. Flocken är orolig; kungen behöver föröka sig denna häckningsperiod och det är av yttersta vikt att de skapar en ny krona som han kan bära på sitt huvud. Kråkkungen själv är motsträvig och vill helst inte ta över efter sin far. Gammelkråkan är trött på monarkin och önskar inget hellre än att avskaffa den. Gråkråkan drömmer om att vara fri. Nere i byn vankar ringduvan runt, äter frukt och är nöjd över att slippa plikter och de andra duvornas tjoande. Vargarna springer riktningslöst mot bättre marker i en skog utan slut. Någonstans i fjärran makar en cirkus fram mot en oklar destination.

	Frida Braide is a Scandinavian born photographer and author based in Brooklyn, New York. She is exploring urban landscapes, architectural structures and untouched accidental sculptures in those environmental settings. Braides work is influenced by her studies in theoretical philosophy, specifically philosophy of language.
Braides work has been featured in exhibitions at photo festivals such as Landskrona photo festival, the Icelandic photo festival and the International Photography Festival in Pingyao, China. Braide has also held exhibitions in countries such as the USA, China, South Korea and the UK.

LOOKING FOR THE OCEAN
New York City, NY 
2023 -&#38;nbsp;
	
In looking for the ocean, Braide found concrete. This rock hard second skin, the most destructive material on earth, is making the built environment outgrow the natural one. Unlike the natural world however, concrete does not actually grow. Instead, its main quality is to harden and then degrade so slowly that it will outlast human civilization. 


In looking for the ocean, Braide found that New York City will be underwater in less than a hundred years. This urban fortress that encapsulated humanity, keeping nature at bay, will be everlasting. It cloaks the past, covering what we wish to forget and what does not belong. It serves as the foundation of modern life, hiding time and taming nature. The concrete structures that the city is made of will remain, as it can resist nature for decades. Nature will crack the surface in due course, and we will do what we do best; cover it with more concrete. Even under water, New York City will remain intact.

Stone / Cream is a project about vulnerability and being fragile. The architectural structure was used as a metaphor and surrogates for that mental state of confusion. Braide was asking herself how something that we built, for our needs, was that charged with vulnerability. With the project Braide wanted to question the general discomfort that people felt by entering and staying in this building.
